LAKEVIEW — Town Hall police and Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) will meet with locals in Boystown for a community policing meeting Wednesday night.

The meeting kicks off at 7 p.m. in the 7-Eleven parking lot at 3407 N. Halsted St.

It will replace a regularly held community policing meeting for beats 1923, 1924 and 1925 — an area that runs north to Irving Park, south to Belmont, west to Southport and east to Lake Michigan.

Town Hall Cmdr. Elias Voulgaris, the alderman and local police officers will meet with residents to talk safety concerns and strategies.

There'll be food and refreshments, according to Tunney's office.

The move comes a few days after Town Hall police hosted outdoor weekend roll calls near Belmont and Sheffield, and Halsted and Roscoe.
