CHICAGO — The feel-good story of the summer keeps getting better for the Jackie Robinson West All-Stars.

Fresh off a miraculous run in the Little League World Series that won the hearts of Chicagoans, the team returned to hero's welcome this week, including a parade that drew thousands to Millennium Park.

Now the White Sox have announced a tribute to the team, which took home the U.S. Little League World Series crown last weekend, and the Cubs will host the team Monday.

Before Saturday's 6:10 p.m. game against the Tigers, the Sox will present the Jackie Robinson West Little League with a $20,000 donation. The Sox will also give each Jackie Robinson West player a White Sox jersey with their number, autographed by every player on the big-league team. The Little Leaguers will also receive a back-to-school care package.

The White Sox will also honor the Little League team with a plaque to be displayed at U.S. Cellular Field. The plaque will be unveiled during the 2015 baseball season.

As the White Sox host the Jackie Robinson West squad during the second leg of a doubleheader Saturday, fans are encouraged to wear gold in honor of the Little League champs.

The Cubs will honor the team Monday with a pregame ceremony. The team will throw out the first pitch before the Cubs take on the Brewers, and will lead the crowd in the seventh-Iinning stretch.

Jackie Robinson West was the first Chicago team to qualify for the Little League World Series since 1967. The team upended Las Vegas to win the U.S. championship Saturday, and fell to South Korea in the world championship game Sunday.
