CHICAGO — A man was shot to death while sitting in a North Lawndale garage Wednesday night, police said.

The man was sitting in a garage in the 1800 block of South Fairfield Avenue when a car drove past and someone inside began shooting around 9:45 p.m. The man was hit several times and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

No one is in custody for the shooting, which appears to be gang-related, Sedevic said.

The victim was identified as Antonio Hobson, 34, of the 1600 block of South Komensky Avenue.
