Englewood Shooting Kills Man

CHICAGO — A man was killed in Englewood early Tuesday.

The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue, police said.

A 32-year-old man was involved in an argument with another man before he was shot in his chest. He was pronounced dead on the scene, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

The man was identified as Arthur Shanklin, 1000 block of East 76th Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
