BRIDGEPORT — Armour School leaders are inviting residents to come find out why the elementary school is the "hidden gem of Bridgeport."
The school's open house and picnic takes place from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, 950 W. 33rd Place. The event is free to attend.
Armour services neighborhood kids in pre-Kindergarten through eighth grades. School leaders say small class sizes and a community of involved parents make Armour a unique option in Bridgeport.
Student registration is already under way. Private tours of the school are also available by calling 773-535-4530
