Man, 21, Killed in Riverdale Shooting

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot early Thursday in Riverdale, police said.

The man was in a parked car in the 13300 block of South Indiana Avenue when someone fired shots striking him in the chest. The shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. Thursday, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The victim was identified as Jadon Johnson, of the 700 block of East 80th Place, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Johnson was driven by a family member to Roseland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:32 a.m., authorities said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
