WRIGLEYVILLE — It's "This Town" — live.

Fans of the popular O.A.R. song played at Cubs games can hear the tune performed in person Saturday outside the ballpark as part of Wrigley Field's season-long centennial celebration.

The Rockville, Md.-based band will play a free 90-minute set after the Cubs afternoon game against the Baltimore Orioles, perfoming in the Red and Purple lots on the west side of Wrigley Field.

The tune is a favorite for Cubs fans; a recording of "This Town" is played before every 2014 home game while the team is introduced. The lyrics include, "This town, this night, this crowd. Come on put 'em up, let me hear it loud."

Band member Chris Culos has called O.A.R.'s connection to the Cubs "awesome."

"We get emails from the guys, and they are just genuine fans that dig our music and we think it's the coolest thing ever because its helping spread the music in a really great way," Culos said in a 2011 interview with The Aquarian Weekly.

The show is part of a 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. event. Before and after the O.A.R. concert, other live entertainment will be offered as well as the sale of food and drinks.

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
