MCKINLEY PARK — Think you make the neighborhood's best salsa?
Prove it at the McKinley Park Community Garden's salsa contest, scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the garden, located in the 1900 block of West Pershing Road.
Here's how it works: The garden group brings the chips, the contestants supply the salsa and the tasters bring their own beverages.
Organizers are asking for a suggested donation of $5 for each taste-tester, or $10 for a family, with the proceeds headed toward maintenance and programming at the community garden.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
