BRIDGEPORT — Soon, the schedules of kids and parents will be a tangled web of homework, activities and logistics.
To help blow off a little back-to-school steam, the team behind Good Gyrrl dance and events studio invites kids and moms to their studio for the Mommy N Me Dance Party, featuring Zumba and hip-hop dancing, face painting, pizza, pampering and more.
The event takes place 1-4 p.m. Saturday on the bottom floor of the Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 W. 35th St. It's appropriate for kids ages 3-7 years old.
"We want kids to come see where Mommy comes to work out and have fun. It's a way for moms to have an opportunity to relax while kids have fun. The moms relax in their own little area, but their children will be in their vision," said Leeta Liddell studio co-owner.
Tickets are $25 for a mother-child combo and $5 for each additional kid. They're available at this website. The price covers the cost all of the day's activities as well as "loot bag" for kids, Liddell said.
