JEFFERSON PARK — Burger aficionados who got a chance to chow down on the latest massive burger concoction from Leadbelly raised $2,000 for a good cause.

With the sale of each Rib'n & Bleu — a classic burger topped with ribs and a haystack of fried onion straws on a bed of Sriracha-bleu cheese slaw — Leadbelly, which has locations in Gladstone Park and Portage Park, donated $5 to the Gift Theatre, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary and 14th season in Jefferson Park.

The fact that 400 burgers flew out of the Leadbelly kitchens in July might have something to do with the fact that the burger featured not just any ribs, but the world famously tender ribs from Jefferson Park's Gale Street Inn.

The Gift Theatre's production of "Othello" will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2:30 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 31. Tickets are $20-$35 and are available at thegifttheatre.org or at 773-283-7071.
