MCKINLEY PARK — The Hoyne Park advisory council is looking for help in ridding the park of overgrown weeds.

The cleanup effort takes place 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the park, located in the 3400 block of South Hamilton Avenue. Participants are asked to bring their own gloves and weed-whacking tools.

The volunteer-driven event will be the latest in a long series of park improvements, including a renovated playground and the creation of a new community mural.
