CHINATOWN — A registered dietitian will discuss tips to eat healthier and prevent disease.

Amari Thomsen, who works with Eat Chic Chicago, will present a PowerPoint presentation at the Chinatown library to discuss dietary guidelines for "carbohydrate, protein and fat and how to make healthy choices for disease prevention," organizers said.

Takes place 11 a.m. Saturday at the library branch, 2353 S. Wentworth Ave. It's free to attend. See the library's website for more details.

Thomsen said participants will have the chance to explore ways to prepare nutritious food everyday.
