CHATHAM —The Greater Institutional A.M.E. Church will host its annual block party for Chatham families looking for something to do this weekend.
The "God's On The Block" event runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the church, 7800 S. Indiana Ave. Food, music, games and youth activities, such as basketball, will be available.
Walter Johnson Jr., pastor of the church, said he encourages local families to come out and socialize with church members and fellow neighbors.
