LINCOLN PARK — A man's body was pulled from Lake Michigan Wednesday morning, authorities said.

About 7:30 a.m., the police department's marine unit responded to a call of a body in the water near the 2600 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said.

The man, 56, was pulled from the water and pronounced dead on the scene at 8:10 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Officials there did not release the man's name as of Wednesday evening.

A 56-year-old man fell from his sailboat into Lake Michigan about two miles Saturday evening. Searches for the man were unsuccessful. Authorities have not confirmed the body found Wednesday morning is the missing boater.
