CHATHAM — The Chatham Business Association is sponsoring a micro-lending workshop aimed at providing financial assistance to small businesses.

The Micro-Lending Day event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the QBG Foundation Building, 806 E. 78th St. For more information, call Richard Willis, 773-994-5006 ext. 1007.

Association officials sad it has a service loan agreement with US Bank that provides loans up to $25,000 for non-traditional small business owners, women, veterans, and businesses. Additionally, officials said the goal of the lending initiative is to strengthen the capacity of its members and businesses to successfully prepare and apply for lending opportunities.
