GRAND CROSSING — Two separate job fairs will take place this week for residents living in Chatham, Avalon Park and Grand Crossing.

One job fair will be for adults on Friday and one for young people ages 16-24 on Saturday. Both events run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hirsch Metropolitan High School, 7740 S. Ingleside Ave.

U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Chicago), who is sponsoring the job fairs, said he targeted these three neighborhoods because there is a strong need for employment opportunities in these areas.

Online registration is required to attend the fairs. For more information, call Rush's office at 773-224-6500.
