BRIDGEPORT — Woodworker Rob Christopher takes salvaged wood and turns it into stunning custom furniture and works of art.

On Aug. 16, he'll bring some of his showcase pieces for an exhibit at Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St. The doors open at 7 p.m.

On his blog, Christopher says "reclaimed material will always be at the forefront of each piece of furniture or wall hanging."

"Through the use of vibrant colors, unexpected lines, mixed materials, and unique characteristics I aim to evoke emotion and create a second life for reclaimed materials," he says.
