CHICAGO — A 500-gallon acid spill Wednesday snarled travel near U.S. Cellular Park, which was hosting an afternoon White Sox game.

A truck leaking liquid had sent hazmat teams to Wentworth Street near 35th Street early Wednesday afternoon, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

Metra and CTA trains temporarily skipped the 35th/Lou Jones and 35th Street Red Line stations respectively.

The scene was "secure" by 7:22 p.m., according to the fire department.
