LAKEVIEW — The new Netflix series "Sense8" will be filming near Challenger Park on Wednesday night.

Locals can expect parking restrictions near Irving Park and Kenmore on Wednesday and Thursday as crews set up and dismantle equipment, according to Ald. Tom Tunney (44th)'s office.

"Sense8" is a 10-part series slated to run on Netflix in 2015. It follows eight characters across the globe who become telepathically linked after a tragic death.

The show was created by siblings Andy and Lana Wachowski (the Matrix series, Cloud Atlas) and J. Michael Straczynski (Thor, World War Z).

Tunney's office said filming will take place between 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. Locals can expect a full-street closure on Irving Park between Sheridan and Clark during this time — plus an alley closure on Kenmore between Buena and Irving Park.

Additionally, there will be no parking from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday:

• on both sides of Buena, from Kenmore moving west to the alley under the "L" tracks
• west side of Seminary, from Dakin to Irving Park
• south side of Dakin, from 833 W. Dakin St. to Broadway
• north side of Grace, from 1154 W. Grace St. to 1181 W. Grace St.
• both sides of Irving Park from Kenmore to Sheridan
• west side of Kenmore, from 4000-4008 N. Kenmore Ave., 4040-4060 N. Kenmore Ave., and 4124-4142 N. Kenmore Ave.

There are also parking restrictions on both sides of Irving Park between Clark and Kenmore from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Anyone with concerns can reach out to location manager Monoleto Wilborn at 773-542-1820.
