
CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was hospitalized after he was shot around 6 p.m. Monday in Englewood.
The man was standing in the 5900 block of South Justine Street when two men walked up to him and opened fire, police said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound in his arm, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The man is gang-affiliated, and no one is in custody for the shooting, Greer said.
The shooting occurred about 1½ hours after another man was shot and killed in Englewood, police said.
Shortly before 9 p.m. in the Gresham neighborhood, a 39-year-old man was shot to death while riding his bike.
