Man Killed in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO — A 33-year-old man is dead after being shot Sunday night in West Garfield Park.

The man was walking in the 4100 block of West Jackson Boulevard when another man approached on foot and shot him several times in his back around 7:23 p.m. Sunday. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

Brian Davis, of the 200 block of South Central Avenue was pronounced dead at 7:57 p.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
