LAKEVIEW — City crews will begin water main work at Diversey Parkway and Halsted Street on Monday, causing up two weeks of traffic delays.

Water management crews are connecting a new sewer main on Diversey to the existing sewer main on Halsted, according to Ald. Tom Tunney (44th)'s office.

Westbound Diversey lanes will be closed from Halsted to Sheffield for the duration of the project, which should take about two weeks, Tunney said in an email.

Cars heading west on Diversey will be detoured north on Halsted to Belmont, then west on Belmont to Sheffield, then down Sheffield back to Diversey.
