BRIDGEPORT — A dinner gala benefiting the Step Up Women's Network brings chefs from across the city to the Bridgeport Art Center for an evening of food and fundraising.

The event takes place 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday at the art center's Skyline Loft, 1200 W. 35th St. Tickets cost $125 and are available online.

Proceeds benefit Step Up's teen programs, which organizers say "empower teen girls in Chicago's under-resourced communities to become confident, college-bound and career-focused."

The food lineup includes offerings from RL, Troquet, Zed451, Farmhouse, Honey Butter Fried Chicken and more.
