Things to Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town this Weekend

Friday

Typhoon at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 11 p.m.

Lincoln Hall and C3 present the official Lollapalooza after show for Typhoon and Desert Noises. Tickets to the 18-and-over show are $20.

Policeman at Facets Cinematheque, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave., 7 and 9 p.m.

For one week only view an exclusive screening of "Policeman" directed by Nadav Lapid. "Policeman" is a well conceived drama about initially unrelated events of an anti-terrorist police force. The movie is in Hebrew with English subtitles and runs for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Tickets are $9.

Fourth Annual F***apalooza at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted Ave., 8 p.m.

No cash to splurge on Lolla tickets? Head to the Tonic Room for a great lineup at a much cheaper price, $20. Friday performers include Smoker, Steve Stone, More Killer, Jonny Rumble and the Hot Moms. The show is for a 21-and-over crowd.

Saturday

Green City Market, 1750 N. Clark St., 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Check out the 10 new vendors at the outdoor market with more than 60 vendors. Saturday's chef demonstration features John Vermiglio of Billy Sunday and A10 Hyde Park from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The market will be open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through Oct. 25.

Salt-N-Pepa with DJ Spinderella at Joe's on Weed Street, 940 W. Weed St., 11 p.m.

The Grammy Award-wining duo and legendary female rap group, Cheryl James and Sandy Denton, a.k.a. Salt-N-Pepa, perform with DJ Spinderella Saturday night. Tickets are $39.

Water, Water Everywhere at Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Explore the city's waterways, Lake Michigan coastline and the fountains of Chicago's parks. Tickets are $25 for adults ($20 for members) and $10 for kids ($5 for members).

Movies in the Park Series at Jonquil Park, 1001 W. Wrightwood Ave., 8:30-10:17 p.m.

Head to Jonquil Playlot Park for "Mr. Peabody & Sherman." Watch a genius dog and his best friend build a time machine to witness historical events first hand. The show is intended for an audience of all ages and underwritten by the Wrightwood Neighbors Association.
