UPTOWN — A high-octane action sequence will be filmed under the train tracks in the Buena Park area on Friday and Saturday as the Wachowski siblings' new Netflix series, "Sense8," continues shooting in Uptown.

"We will be filming under the EL train tracks between Irving Park Rd. and Buena Ave.," reads a filming notice issued to area residents by the show's production company, Unpronounceable Productions. "The scene includes a car chase and stunt crash sequence."

"Sense8," expected to debut next year, is a sci-fri drama from "Babylon 5" creator J. Michael Straczynski and the Wachowski siblings, Lana and Andy — the brains behind "The Matrix" trilogy. Straczynski came up with the story and is executive producing it with help from the Wachowskis.

Lana and Andy Wachowski, seen in this file photo from Los Angeles, are part of the team behind the new show "Sense8" on Netflix. It is being filmed, in part, in Uptown.

The 10-episode series follows eight characters from across the globe who, after a tragic death, find themselves linked mentally and emotionally. The characters “not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other’s deepest secrets," Straczynski told Deadline.com.

Naturally, the characters have to figure out what happened — with the future of humanity hanging in the balance — while being hunted by a mysterious organization, according to Straczynski's description.

The cast includes Chicago's own Daryl Hannah, known as the diabolical Elle Driver of Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" series, Naveen Andrews from hit show "Lost," and "Doctor Who" actress Freema Agyeman.

"Sense8" also filmed in Uptown earlier this month.

Friday and Saturday, the alleys and road under the tracks will be closed to traffic unless for emergencies, and the production company requires that all cars that park in the area be removed, the notice said.

Bordering Lakeview, Buena Park is a vibrant area on the southeast side of Uptown, where West Irving Park Road usually transforms into a traffic nightmare when there's a Cubs home game at nearby Wrigley Field.

Luckily, the Cubs will be in L.A. playing the Dodgers on Friday and Saturday.

Temporary parking permits for motorists who park under the tracks are available at the office of Ald. James Cappleman (46th), 4544 N. Broadway, or by calling Unpronounceable location scout Stephan Endicott at 773-459-3099 or emailing him at stephanendicott@yahoo.com.
