ANDERSONVILLE — Andersonville's independent shop owners, many offering bargains, will be outside selling their wares in the neighborhood from Friday to Sunday as part of the annual Andersonville Summer Sidewalk Sale.
The merchants will span from the 5000 to 5800 blocks of North Clark Street, according to the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, which organized the event and said that two other neighborhood events will coincide with the sidewalk sale.
Olive in Motion, a free pop-up market, park and party on Olive Avenue between Clark and North Ashland, kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday and ends around 10 p.m. It includes outdoor games, live music, a movie and food and drinks from local restaurants, the chamber said.
Book store Women & Children First is holding a used book sale from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
"The ... Used Book Sale benefits the Women’s Voices Fund, whose goal is to foster discussion of feminist issues and culture, and to nurture children’s delight in books," according to the chamber.
