SOUTH LOOP — The Prairie District Neighborhood Association is hosting a two-part event Thursday with activities for both grownups and little ones.
From 7-10 p.m. Thursday at Dunbar Park, the neighborhood group will be selling beer and wine for $3 plus water and soft drinks, and dinner options for around $5, including burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, salads and desserts.
At dusk, they'll screen "Kicking and Screaming," the 2005 soccer-themed Will Ferrell comedy that's rated PG.
For adults, the event includes a bean bag tournament, live DJ music, karaoke and dancing.
Aside from meals and drinks, all entertainment is free. Bags of popcorn are, too.
