LOGAN SQUARE — The Chicago Public Schools' network chief for nearly every school in Logan Square has resigned, according to school officials.

John Price resigned his seven-month role as the Northwest Side network chief earlier this month. He previously served as area chief for the South Side’s Burnham Park Network for nearly two years, according to CPS.

Price has since become the new assistant superintendent for schools in Evanston, “responsible for leadership and oversight of all schools,” according to Evanston Now.

Price moved to the northwest side's network after the Chicago Board of Education’s vote to realign and combine citywide network borders in October, according to CPS officials. Price had served in several capacities with CPS, including work as the principal of Audubon Elementary School for five years.

The school district is finalizing plans to replace Price, said Lauren Huffman, a CPS spokeswoman.
