BRIDGEPORT — Three professional storytellers will spin yarns based on a theme at the monthly South Side version of Story Club.

This month, the theme is "Beautiful Poison," featuring "tales about things that look temptingly beautiful but turn out to be quite venomous."

Open mic sign-up starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Co-Prosperity Sphere, 3219 S. Morgan St. The show begins at 8 p.m. Suggested donation for entry is $5. The event is BYOB.

In addition to the featured performers, three open mic slots are available for brave storytellers. They'll have eight minutes to tell their story, which doesn't have to follow the theme.
