BRIDGEPORT — Organizers of the Palmisano Park Stewardship Day are putting out a call for volunteers.
The cleanup begins 9 a.m. Saturday at the corner of 29th and Halsted streets. Organizers will provide participants with tools and gloves to help pick up trash and weeds, plus offer some light refreshments.
The effort, part of the Chicago Park District's volunteer stewardship program, asks individuals to spearhead projects in the city's designated nature areas.
