Devon Avenue Weekly Community Market Kicks Off With 'Big Fat Launch Party'

WEST ROGERS PARK — The now-weekly Devon Community Market begins Wednesday night with a "Big Fat Launch Party," organizers said.

The market repeats from 4-8 p.m. each Wednesday through Sept. 17 in the Republic Bank parking lot at 2720 W. Devon Ave.

On Wednesday, Tamariel Paints will offer free face paint and henna, and Shmooz the Clown will make his comedic rounds from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

This year's food vendors include Chaat for Champions, City Fresh Market, Feast & Imbibe, Headstash Roasting Co., Mysore Woodlands, Relish Chicago and Ted’s Fresh Market.

Participating farms and bakeries include the Bread Shoppe, C&D Family Farms, D&R Gardens & Orchards, Farmer Friendly Farm to Table Foods, Katic Breads, La Farine Bakery, Ludwig Farmstead Creamery, Misericordia Hearts & Flour Bakery and Townline Organic Farm.

Artisan vendors include Avon Products, Scroll Saw Craftsman, Paradise Products and Patel Handicrafts.

Musical artists include Going Green Science, Mi Yodea, Music House and Owen Clayton Condon.
