PORTAGE PARK — The hit animated flick "Frozen" will light up the night sky in Portage Park Wednesday and Jefferson Memorial Park Friday as part of the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Parks series.

Starring the voices of Kristen Bell as Anna and Idina Menzel as her sister Elsa, "Frozen" tells the story of Anna, a fearless princess, who sets off on a journey with a mountain man, his loyal pet reindeer and a adorable snowman to find her sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.

Moviegoers can bring a blanket and a picnic basket to watch current and classic flicks for free during the series.

The schedule for the next month is:
