Driver, 85, Dies After Norwood Park Car Crash

CHICAGO — An 85-year-old Edison Park man died after he crashed a car into a Norwood Park pole Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Vincent Pistilli was driving in the 6400 block of North Nagle Avenue when he lost control and hit a pole at 3:13 p.m., said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

Pistilli, of the 7300 block of North Oconto Avenue, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:12 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Pistilli was the only one in the car and the only person injured in the crash.
