LOGAN SQUARE — A new three-day comedy festival will bring more than 60 standup comedians from across the country to three Chicago neighborhoods this weekend, including Logan Square.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign that more than doubled its goal of $3,000, the 2014 Comedy Exposition is an independent comedy festival that celebrates the best of standup comedy July 11-13 in Logan Square, Lakeview and Wicker Park.

Logan Square sets will be held July 13 at Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Elastic Arts, 2830 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Cole's Bar, 2338 N. Milwaukee Ave., and Township, 2200 N. California Ave.

Comics from Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and beyond are slated to perform at more than 20 shows. Some of the talent includes national headliners Andy Kindler of a veteran of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Bob's Burgers"; Jackie Kashian of "Last Comic Standing," NPRʼs "This American Life" and "Conan," as well as current "Saturday Night Live" cast member Brooks Wheelan.

The Comedy Exposition of 2014 is a stand-up comedy festival with a do-it-yourself ethos bringing together national headliners and comedians from around the country to celebrate Chicago's blossoming standup scene, according to organizers.

Other performers on deck include Aparna Nancherla of "Totally Biased" with W. Kamau Bell, Sean OʼNeal of Comedy Central's "The Half Hour," Shane Torres of "Comedy Bang! Bang!," Sean Patton of "The Half Hour" and Ryan Singer of Bob & Tom and Comedy Central.

The acts will appear at venues including Schubas, The Hideout, Township, The Annoyance Theatre and several others.

There are $60 premium passes, which guarantee access to nearly all 20+ shows across the festivalʼs three days, as well as a $25 showcase passes.

Individual tickets to each nightʼs main event, each one featuring some of the festivalʼs biggest names are also on sale for $20 each. A full schedule of times, locations and events can be found here.
