Bar Forza Relaunching as Italian Gastropub

By Paul Biasco | July 7, 2014 5:19am

LINCOLN PARK — Bar Forza, the Italian-inspired bar on Lincoln Avenue, is revamping its menu and relaunching as a gastropub later this month.

The bar, which has been open for two years, is looking to attract more neighborhood customers with an improved menu and new chef.

Bar Forza, 2476 N. Lincoln Ave., is also expanding its wine list, starting a craft beer program and offering brunch on the weekend.

The bar currently does well with the DePaul nightlife crowd, managing partner Paul DiForza said. He hopes to bring the business back to its roots with a focus on food rather than the bar side.

"That's our No. 1 goal," he said. "To be a gastropub."

The brunch menu will feature traditional American brunch with a slight Italian influence, DiForza said.

Bar Forza is launching the new menu and dining experience Saturday.

Some of the new items include a grilled chicken bruschetta sandwich, barbecue chicken pizza with homemade pineapple-infused barbecue sauce and a number of new pasta dishes.
