Englewood Sexual Assault Suspect Sought by Police

CHICAGO — A woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint in Englewood Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday near 71st Street and Racine Avenue when a 36-year-old woman parked in her car was approached by a man who showed a handgun, police said.

The man got in the car and forced the woman to drive to a nearby alley before sexually assaulting and robbing her.

The attacker is described as a black man in his mid-20s. He is 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 tall, weighs about 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and a dark complexion.

At the time of the attack, he was wearing a red hoodie and dark blue jeans, police said.
