Man Charged in March Shooting in West Town

CHICAGO — A Northwest Side man has been charged in a March shooting that injured a 30-year-old man, police said Saturday.

Edgar Gomez, 27, of the 5100 block of West Deming Place, is charged with aggravated battery after allegedly shooting a man in his vehicle about 12:40 a.m. on March 8 in the 1300 block of West Huron Street.

The man was shot in his chest and elbow, and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

Gomez is due to appear in court Saturday.
