
CHICAGO — A man is dead after he was fatally stabbed Friday night at his home in the Chicago Lawn neighorhood, authorities said.
About 10:30 p.m. Friday, the 28-year-old man was stabbed after getting into an argument and physical confrontation in the 6000 block of South Sacramento Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The man was identified as Tony Ervin, of the 6000 block of South Sacramento Avenue. Authorities said the stabbing happened at Ervin's home.
One person is in custody being questioned, and charges are pending, police said.
