Green City Market, 1750 N. Clark St., 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Check out the 10 new vendors at the outdoor market with more than 60 vendors. Wednesday's chef demonstration features Leonard Hollander of Marion Street Cheese Market from 10:30-11:30 a.m. The market will be open from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through Oct. 25.

Twilight Safari at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., 6-7:30 p.m.

Join one of Lincoln Park Zoo's horticulturists or animal experts for a stroll through the zoo at twilight. Each monthly safari focuses on a different section of the zoo. On Wednesday meet at the East Gate and be prepared to explore the Regenstein Birds of Prey Exhibit, the McCormick Bear Habitat and the Harris Family Foundation Black Rhinoceros Exhibit. Tickets for the safari are $13 for those 16 and older and $10 for members.

Locally Sourced at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2001 N. Clark St., 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Head to Cafe Brauer for live music by Joel Patterson, locally farmed produce, drink specials on locally brewed Lagunitas Brewing Company and work from a local artist.
