UPTOWN — For folks who like to talk about beer as much as they enjoy drinking it, the Bar on Buena's latest "Meet the Brewer" event on Thursday offers the chance to chat it up with Temperance Beer Company head brewer Claudia Jendron.
Bar on Buena, 910 W. Buena Ave., announced this week that the Evanston-based brewery had been named the bar's "Brewery of the Month" for June and would celebrate with Thursday's event, scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
Jendron will be present so attendees "can and learn first-hand about the company [and] its brews," the bar said in a news release.
Last year Temperance was born as Evanston's first craft brewery.
Bar on Buena has four Temperance brews on tap this month: Greenwood Beach, a blonde ale brewed with pineapple; Smittytown Tart, an extra special bitter fermented with tart cherries; an imperial red ale named Evenfall; and an India pale ale called Restless Years.
