CHICAGO — Police are searching a for a man who was armed with a gun when he attempted to lure two boys into his SUV in Hermosa.
Police said the man pulled up the two boys in his SUV in the 2000 block of North Tripp Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Sunday and tried talking to them in an effort to get them into his vehicle. At some point he showed them a handgun, police said.
The boys were able to get away unhurt without speaking to the man, police said.
The man is believed to be between ages 20-29. He was wearing black pants and a green hoodie when he spoke to the children and was driving a white SUV with black tape on the windows, police said.
