CHICAGO — Four people are dead after a single-car crash in Belmont Cragin early Thursday.

The car was traveling at a very high speed in the 2600 block of North Narragansett Avenue when it crashed into a concrete wall around 3 a.m., said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Two people died at the scene and two people were taken to Our Lady of Resurrection hospital where they later died. Another person was taken to Loyola Hospital in critical condition, said Greer.

As of 5 a.m. Thursday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office had not been notified of the deaths.

The ages and genders of the victims were not immediately available and police are investigating.
