The deadline to enter the second annual contest produced by the Chicago Creative Coalition is Thursday. A selection of the contest entries picked by judges will be displayed at Jeff Fest, which will take place at Jefferson Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave.

The photographer who wins first place will take home $500, second place will win $250 and third place will take home $200. Three photos will be given honorable mention and take home $50. The photo selected as the People's Choice will win $100.

The cost to enter the contest is $35. Participants can submit up to four images online.

All of the winning photos will be displayed from July 30 to Aug. 25 in the office of Ald. John Arena (45th), who is sponsoring the contest along with Arts Alive Chicago and Jeff Fest.

Winners will be picked by a jury of professional artists. Jurors are Jill Arena, an illustrator and the alderman's wife;  Ron Gould, a photographer; Heidi Kohz, a performance artist; Peter Panayiotou, a photographer; Victor Powell, a portrait studio owner.
