CHICAGO — Police on Sunday charged three men with a pair of armed robberies in Bridgeport and Austin that occurred on the same day.

On June 4, the men allegedly stuck up a 23-year-old man and stole cash and an iPhone about 12:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Quincy Street, police said.

Several hours later, about 3:15, in the 200 block of West 31st Street, they allegedly robbed a 31-year-old man of his wallet and iPhone.

Charged are Darnell Russ, 25, of the 6400 block of Martin Luther King Drive; Antione Golden, 26, of the 7900 block of South Langley Avenue; and Lekendrick C. Williams, 27, of the 1500 block of South Central Park Avenue.

Officers arrested the trio Saturday about 12:20 p.m. in the 4200 block of South Wentworth Avenue after a brief vehicle and foot chase, police said. They are due in court Sunday.

Russ and Williams are each charged with felony armed robbery.

Golden is charged with two felony armed robberies and a felony for trying to flee police, and six misdemeanor traffic violations.
