ANDERSONVILLE — TGI Fridays plans to park the restaurant chain's first-ever food truck at Andersonville's popular Midsommarfest street festival Friday and Saturday, serving free food and drinks from its new handcrafted menu.
The Fridays Food Truck will be parked on the festival grounds somewhere between the 5200 and 5500 blocks of North Clark Street for the first two days of Midsommarfest. The appearance is for the Chicago leg of its "Summer of Fridays" road tour, which includes stops in about 20 cities.
The truck's menu includes Friday's All-American Burger Sliders, Loaded Potato Skins, Ahi Tuna Crisps, Peach Sangria and more, according to Fridays.
Midsommarfest, scheduled Friday through Sunday on Clark between Foster and Catalpa avenues, is a nod to the annual Swedish tradition of celebrating the summer solstice.
It features food and drinks from local bars and eateries, music on five stages, and local artisans and mom-and-pop shops selling their wares.
