Ashburn Man Charged in Drive-By Shooting That Killed 17-Year-Old Boy

CHICAGO — An Ashburn man has been charged in the shooting that killed 17-year-old Kayshaun Hall.

Elvin Prince, 27, of the 3000 block of West 79th Place, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Kayshaun, 17, was gunned down in a drive-by Monday afternoon as he stood in an alley in the 8400 block of South Kedzie Avenue. Police said they positively identified Prince as the shooter.

Kayshaun, who lived in the 2900 block of West 71st Street in Chicago Lawn, was shot in his chest and pronounced dead on the scene at 5:10 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Prince is slated to appear in bond court Wednesday.
