HUMBOLDT PARK — Chicago Police will conduct an overnight roadside safety check near the intersection of four Northwest Wide neighborhoods over the weekend.
The roadside safety check will begin Friday at 8 p.m. at 4555 W. North Ave. and end at 4 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014. The check will take place within a few blocks of Humboldt Park, Hermosa, Belmont Cragin and Austin.
During roadside safety checks, police officers slow down traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations.
