Friday, May 16

Crawfish Boil with Archaepteryx

Atlas Brewing Company/Seven Ten Lounge will be cooking up crawfish and serving it with Archaeopteryx Dreamcoast Blueberry Belgian Pale Ale.

$15 will get you a pile of crawfish, sides and a 13 oz. beer.

Chicago Indies & Gypsies CCBW Kick-Off Rage-a-Thon

Standard Market Grill is launching their craft beer week programming with local independent and "gypsy" brewers. Participants include Pipeworks, Spiteful, Transient, Aquanaut, Lake Effect and Only Child.

444 W. Fullerton Pkwy. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Two Brother's Tap Takeover at The Sedgwick Stop

Two Brothers Brewing Company will be taking over five taps at The Sedgwick Stop. Representatives from the brewery will be at the bar for the event, which will feature glass giveaways.

1612 N. Sedgwick Street. 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Saturday, May 17

Sam Adams Porch Rocker Patio Party

Standard Market Grill is teaming up with Boston Beer Company to celebrate the launch of the new summer seasonal Porch Rocker Radley by lining up 30 rocking chairs on the patio along Clark Street.

Representatives from the brewery will be at the event with giveaways.

444 W. Fullerton Pkwy. Noon to 5 p.m.

Goose Island Tap Takeover at 1550 Bar

Goose Island will take over seven taps at 1550 Bar for the night with rare beers including Madame Rose, Lolita, Kisetsu, Class of '88, Bourbon County Stout, Bourbon County Stout Barleywine and Rasselbock.

1550 N. Kingsbury. 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Great Lakes & Begyle Style vs Style at Lincoln Station

The brewers of Begyle will be at Lincoln Station for a "meet the brewer" event that will feature rare beers from both Great Lakes and Begyle. Attendees can also try their pool skills against the brewers in three ball for prizes.

Prehistoric Beer Prom at Atlas Brewing Company

To follow up last year's '80s Beer Prom, Atlas is hosting a prehistoric prom featuring Two Brothers beer and giant inflatable dinosaurs.

Dark Horse and Local Option Tap Takeover

Trellis is hosting Dark Horse and Local Options for a dueling tap takeover featuring Dark Horse Taps Raspberry Ale, Sapient, Amber, Reserve Black and Local Option brews American Muscle, Sweetlief, Morning Wood and Outlawger.

Chicago City vs Suburbs Craft Beer Throwdown

Standard Market Grill is hosting a city versus suburban brewery throwdown with half of the taps going to the city (Revolution, Half Acre and Begyle) and half to the 'burbs (Solemn Oath, Buckledown and Two Brothers). The event will run through May 24 with "super-rare" beers rotating throughout the week.

Wednesday, May 21

Micro-Waste Micro-Brew at The Beer Bistro

The Beer Bistro is hosting a night focusing on healthy ecosystems and sustainable education with a number of presenters from Seven Generations Ahead, a local nonprofit, the National Resources Defense Council and the Goose Island Beer Company's sustainability department.

Attendees will receive a commemorative glass, a Chicago Craft Beer Week T-Shirt and a chance to drink Goose Island beers.

$50 per person. 1415 W. Fullerton Pkwy. 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Animals vs. People WhirlyBall Showdown

A WhirlyBall showdown between Goose Island Beer Company and 3 Sheeps Brewing Company will pit attendees who join Team People in a free match against Team 3 Sheeps or Team Goose Island. Victors will win prizes.

SlapShot Trivia Night at The Beer Bistro

The Beer Bistro is hosting SlapShot Brewing company for trivia night with six ales including Honey, Youre Blonde., Mr. Falcon, ESB, Coffee Porter, Blue Eyed Blonde and more.

1415 W. Fullerton Ave. 7 p.m.

Goose Island Tap Takeover at The Sedgwick Stop.

Beers on top will include Ogden, Lolita, Kisetsu, Rasselbock, Illinois and Matilda.

Michigan 3-Way at Lincoln Station

Lincoln Station is hosting Founders, Dark Horse and Vander Mill Cidery for rare offering from all three Michigan-based breweries.

Paddy Long's will be pouring Bourbon County Stout 2012, Bourbon County Stout Barleywine, Madame Rose and 2 More Weeks.

Atlas Barrel-Aged Beer Night

Atlas Brewing Company will tap four of their barrel-aged beers simultaneously: Koval Rye Barrel-Aged Harold Imperial Stout, Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel-Aged Phantasmagourdia Pumpkin Ale, Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel-Aged Glasgow Kiss Scotch Ale and Old Sugar Rum Barrel-Aged Intemporelle Quadruppel.
