CHICAGO — Three people were injured in two separate shootings Monday.

In the most recent shooting, two men with unknown ages were in stable condition after being shot in North Lawndale, around 3:25 p.m. Monday. They were both taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

The first man was shot in the leg and the other in the buttocks while in the 1400 block of South Kostner Avenue, police said.

Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, a shooting in the Austin neighborhood left a man hospitalized in serious condition, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.

The 31-year-old man was walking with friends in the 400 block of North Long Avenue when two men approached and shot him in the lower back. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition, said Sullivan.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sullivan said.
