LINCOLN PARK — New renderings of a $200 million retail/residential complex currently under construction at Clybourn and Halsted streets show what developers call "a lively neighborhood within a neighborhood."

The New City development, scheduled to open in the summer of 2015, will include 380,000 square feet of retail space, including a restaurant, a 14-screen movie theater, a Mariano's grocery, a bowling alley and a Dick's Sporting goods store, according to the developers.

Additionally, there will be 200 rental units on 16 floors. The development also has two acres of public space, with a fountain and other landscaping.

The developers are Bucksbaum Retail Properties LLC and Structured Development LLC. The groundbreaking was held Dec. 3.

The businesses that reportedly have agreed to leases at the 8.5 acre site include:

• Dick's Sporting Goods;

• King's Bowl, which describes itself as a "upscale bowling venue" which "recaptures and rekindles the golden age of bowling" of the 1950s and '60s;

• Earl's Kitchen + Bar, a chain that has most of its locations in Canada and touts its use of local ingredients;

• ArcLight Cinemas, a West Coast-based movie theater that offers a full bar, cafe and extra wide seats;

• Mariano's Fresh Market, which will include an Italian coffee shop, a wood-fired pizza oven and sit-down sushi.

The new renderings were reported by curbed.com on Tuesday.
